What is the Optus Junior Tour?Enter Tournaments Check Your Rankings
These tournaments offer points across the 12/u, 14/u and 16/u age groups, with select tournaments also offering points in the 18/u age group. In total, 185 tournaments across Australia make up the Optus Junior Tour in 2010, giving all juniors the opportunity to obtain an Australian Ranking.
The five levels of Optus Junior Tour tournaments is as follows:
OJT Platinum Series (National Junior Championships)
Across the Australian states in 2010 are a total of 19 tournaments that offer the highest amount of points outside the National Junior Championships. These are grouped as the OJT Gold Series and are historically the major junior championships in each state. Across the country in 2010 there are six Gold tournaments in NSW and VIC, three in QLD and two each in SA and WA.
Across the Australian states and territories in 2010 are a total of 33 tournaments that offer the third highest amount of points on the Optus Junior Tour. These are grouped as the OJT Silver Series. Across the country in 2010 there are 10 Silver tournaments in NSW, 5 in VIC, 9 in QLD, 4 in SA, 3 in WA and 1 in Tasmania and the Nortern Territory.
Across the Australian states and territories in 2010 are a total of 58 tournaments that offer the fourth highest amount of points on the Optus Junior Tour. These are grouped as the OJT Bronze Series. Recommended for athletes beginning the AR tournament circuit. Across the country in 2010 there are 12 Bronze tournaments in NSW, 11 in VIC, 9 in QLD, 8 in SA, 4 in WA, 6 in Tasmania, and 4 in the ACT and Northern Territory.
Across the Australian states and territories in 2010 are a total of 58 tournaments that offer the lowest amount of points on the Optus Junior Tour. These are grouped as the OJT White Series. Recommended for athletes beginning the AR tournament circuit. Across the country in 2010 there are 11 White tournaments in NSW, 9 in VIC, 9 in QLD, 13 in SA, 9 in WA, 2 in Tasmania and 5 in the Northern Territory.
